Aug. 3, 2020 -

The following is an update at Garland Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts facilities and parks. 



When visiting our parks and facilities, please plan accordingly and continue to comply with physical distancing guidelines of a minimum of 6 feet from anyone not in your household. In addition, please comply with all City, County, State, and Federal guidelines, which include but are not limited to, wash your hands; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth; cover your mouth and nose with elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze, and stay home if you feel sick. When entering one of our facilities, face coverings are encouraged.


Open:


* Parks, Playgrounds, and Trails
-Includes Park Restrooms

* Outdoor Sport Courts + Audubon Disc Golf Course
- tennis, basketball, volleyball, cricket and others.

* All Athletic Game Fields
- Athletic Field Rentals are now available - Visit our Facility Reservations webpage for details.

* Park Pavilions & Rentals
- Visit our Facility Reservations webpage for details.

* Recreation Centers
- 25% capacility - no open play
- Body Shops - 50% capacity limit
- Game Rooms and indoor basketball courts will remain closed.

* The Atrium, the Plaza Theatre, and Granville Performing Arts Center
- All arts facilities are open - 25% capacity limit

* Fall Recreation Programs Schedule
- Fall camps, programs, and classes are available but are limited to small group sizes. Call your nearest recreation center for details. Register for classes and camps today on PlayGarland.com.

* Landmark Museum
- Open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit the Garland Heritage webpage for details.

- Closed for the season

* Senior Centers

* Windsurf Bay Park


Special Events


Restricted to 10 persons or less, per the Governor’s Open Texas Guidelines. Monitor the City’s Special Events calendar and VisitGarlandTX.com for scheduling updates.


Reminders:


Senior meals will only be picked up at Garland Activity Center. Any new seniors wishing to participate in the meal program, please call Garland Senior Activity Center, 972-205-2769, 600 W. Avenue A, Garland, TX 75040.
